This Exclusion List is part of the Clean Stamp Customer Terms & Conditions and Contractor Engagement Guidelines. It ensures compliance with WHS regulations and insurance requirements, and protects the safety of both customers and service providers.
- If an excluded task is identified, cleaners will complete all other agreed work and skip the excluded area without penalty.
- Some excluded tasks may be offered as separately quoted specialist services by qualified personnel.
- Service providers may refuse or stop work if conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, or outside the agreed scope.
- Customers must ensure service areas are safe, accessible, and hazard-free before the scheduled service.
- Any task requiring specialised equipment, licences, or protective gear beyond standard supplies is excluded.
Cleaning Services Exclusion List
Height & Access Limitations
- Cleaning ceilings, windows, or surfaces above 2.0 metres
- Use of ladders, scaffolding, or harnesses
- Roof, ledge, or multi-storey facade cleaning
- High-reach areas not accessible with a small two-step ladder
Electrical & Appliance Risks
- Repairing or tampering with electrical wiring or appliances
- Cleaning inside plugged-in appliances (e.g., ovens, fridges)
- Removing electrical panels or replacing fuses
- Operating near exposed or faulty power points
Hazardous Materials & Biohazards
- Handling or removing:
- Mould requiring chemical treatment
- Asbestos, paints, oils, fuels, chemicals etc.
- Bodily fluids, medical waste, or sharps
- Pest infestations or animal remains
Fragile & High-Value Items
- Cleaning chandeliers, glass sculptures, or delicate fixtures
- Handling mirrors, artworks, antiques, or decorative items
- Cleaning cracked or damaged windows
Pets & Infestations
- Cleaning in areas with active pest infestations (e.g., rodents, cockroaches)
- Removing pet waste, litter trays, or bedding
- Entering properties with unrestrained or aggressive pets
Heavy Lifting & Furniture Moving
- Moving or lifting furniture/appliances over 5 kg
- Rearranging room layouts or disassembling furniture
- Cleaning under or behind immovable items
Fireplaces & Chimneys
- Internal cleaning of fireplaces or chimneys
- Removing ash, soot, or cleaning open flues
Specialist Surfaces & Fixtures
- Polishing or restoring marble, granite, or porous stone
- Cleaning silk curtains, Persian rugs, or delicate textiles
- Dismantling flyscreens or fixtures for detailed cleaning
Outdoor & Non-Standard Areas
- Garage or shed clean-outs involving hazardous materials
- Cleaning construction sites, post-renovation debris, or industrial zones
- Deep stain removal from concrete, oil spills, or chemical residues
- Structural cleaning (walls, ceilings, insulation, or roofing)
- Cleaning of non-standard fixtures (workbenches, tools, machinery, vehicles, or storage systems)
Maintenance & Repairs
- Performing repairs, installations, or handyman tasks
- Fixing leaks, tiles, or structural damage
- Replacing light bulbs
Unsafe or Unsanitary Conditions
- Areas affected by:
- Excessive hoarding or clutter
- Flood, fire, or smoke damage
- Strong chemical or decay odours
- Human or animal waste
- Unsafe or hostile environments (e.g., verbal abuse, unsecured pets)
Specialist Exclusions
- Odour remediation or smoke/nicotine stain removal
- Tile & grout restoration or deep grout stain removal
- Mineral deposit removal (e.g., toilet bowl stains)
- Damp spot or discolouration restoration
- Ceiling cleaning (unless quoted after inspection)
- Removal of:
- Paint, stickers, hooks, child safety locks
- Embedded pet hair in carpets
- Furniture or personal items not listed in service checklist
Lawn Mowing Exclusions
High-Risk Activities:
- Hazardous waste removal
- Tree lopping, pruning, or removal
- Stump removal or grinding
- Work requiring high risk licenses (Chainsaw or power tool)
- Chemical spraying or fertilization
- Pest control or herbicide application
Specialized Services:
- Garden landscaping or design
- Turf installation or repair
- Irrigation system work
- Retaining wall or hardscape maintenance
- Soil preparation or seeding
Access Limitations:
- Slopes exceeding 30-degree inclines
- Areas requiring ladder or elevated platform access
- Waterlogged or unstable ground conditions
- Areas with extensive obstacles or confined spaces
- Properties with significant safety hazards
Equipment Limitations:
Standard mowing equipment cannot accommodate:
- Overgrown areas requiring brush cutting
- Very small or narrow access areas
- Areas requiring specialized commercial equipment
- Rocky or extremely uneven terrain
- Areas with underground obstacles or utilities
